"The company’s high speed video interconnect technology has already been adopted by market leaders. We believe ~12 companies have already licensed TranSwitch’s high speed video interconnect technology, a leading semiconductor company has entered production using TranSwitch SERDES technology, and a leading TV OEM is working with TranSwitch on an internal high speed interface for HDTVs. We believe this adoption of TXCC video interconnect intellectual property by the market place validates the company’s technology position."
"We believe HDplay will address approximately 50% of total HDTV and PC monitor units, 80% of projector units and 100% of A/V receiver units. With aggregate unit shipments of the above devices increasing from approximately 181MM units in 2011 to 225MM units in 2014 and with TranSwitch ASPs ranging from $3 - $5, we approximate the HDplay TAM at approximately $700MM in 2014. We suspect that TXCC will gain a relatively minor share of the larger HDTV and PC monitor markets while gaining more substantial share in the market for projectors and AV/Receivers. Were TranSwitch to secure even minor penetration of the HD video receiver TAM, we note the company’s total revenue would increase dramatically. For instance, achieving just 5% penetration of this TAM by 2014 would nearly double TXCC’s corporate revenue."
