In the last CC Ali briefly mentioned a design win (his definition of a design win means the customer has started ordering parts) to Reliance InfoCom in India. While obviously these chickens should not be counted before hatching the revenue figure of ~$12 million was mentioned for 2014 in this account alone. That would be more than TXCC will ship in telecom IC's for this year. Point here is analyst estimates are in $47 million range for 2014. One item that is needed for a higher share price is analysts starting to raise their estimates. Any sort of decent HDplay shipments starting to occur will make that happen. Having an increase in Telecom revenue will certainly help.

    • don`t you people get it. ! Ali is a DAS hatch-ling. both use prefix DR, in name ,
where they want to suggest to public they have creditable as persons.
Das was always promoting design/wins ,and product orders.
But just like Das never delivering on everything he says . so it will be with Ali.
I also suspect that Mr.Ali will follow Mr Das back to India when this company finally turns into ashes !

    • altrfan,

I believe the $12 million figure was a total for telecom's contribution. That is up from the roughly $10 million rate they have had lately.

      • altrfan is correct. Ali stated the $12mm was from one specific win the company is working on with an OEM involved in Reliance Infocomm's LTE buildout in India. This is separate from any current legacy telecom revenue. From the Q1 transcript:

"Additionally, leading OEM has designed our Atlanta processor in voice-over LTE gateway solution for Reliance Infocomm. Reliance is the leading tier one carrier in India which is in the process of expanding its service offering to add voice capabilities to their Pan India 4G LTE network.

And our current expectations based on their announcements, is that there will be a soft launch in the third quarter of this year in two major cities; I believe its New Delhi and Mumbai. And to culminate in volumes ramping in significant levels in 2014 across other cities.

While this opportunity has not reached the design win stage for us and the customer product is in further testing as a carrier, we believe this opportunity represents meaningful revenue potential estimated at about $12 million in 2014 for our telecom business."

Ali stated that this is not in the design win stage yet but the soft launch date is very close so I would assume he feels pretty confident about some level of involvement there. But that is yet to be seen. Although this could provide another $12mm in revenue next year, we don't know the falloff rate of the other legacy telecom revenue (which will total ~$10mm in 2013). If there is a severe drop off in LTB revenues in 2014, the Reliance revenue (or any other new telecom revenue they can harvest next year) could at least offset that.

I noticed the other day that Reliance Infocomm agreed to pay Reliance Telecom $2.1B for 15 year leases on wireless towers to be occupied by the end of the year for this buildout. Both companies are owned by the same family.
