    Amazed At Self-Employed!

Sorry I have to get personal but as a guy who after living the good life having fun 24/7 in Navy [except for time in Viet Nam] and then laboring 0700-1900 in Pentagon & on some weekends I am amazed how many posters can thrive w/o concentrating at work. Now I can understand Persh, country squire in Nashville,Web waiting for phone to ring in Atlanta, even Lib probably an insurance salesman, even Newby the ABBOTT Fire Chief waiting ready to roll but what about the rest?

    • Gosh AMD, you had me worried when I saw that message with the strong sell, Indiana might be the sentimental favorite, with Davis coaching. I don't think they will beat Oklahoma though.

    • Meant to hit the strong buy button.

    • As far as the final four............My heart is with the big 10, but I don't think Indiana will get past Oklahoma, wish they would. KU over Mary. With KU winning it all.

Getting close to cocktail hour. Vodka Martini sounds good tonight. I have a few bottles of Absolute, but I think I might crack the 1.75 Ltr. of Belvedere Vodka. Ever tried it? One of the best.
      Happy Holiday,

    • My point was (is) in my Self-Employeed response, that if you are going to phuq off, you are going to do it whether you are working, or you are not...

The phuq off Gene is dominant... A phuq off gene cannot be altered, or manipulated, as it exists for a primary purpose, of phuqing off...

Therefore, do not judge people by their actions... Judge them by their results...

      Nuff Said...

      Eight - We Learn...
      Nine - We adjust again...
Ten - We smile or start over...

Bidness, or personal, the routine is the same...

    • Pluto,

I try to stay busy and have so far worked out
      doing nothing with ease.

March...got season tickets to Titan games.

      April...tax time, of course

May...12 days Baltic, Berlin and St PT.

      June...4 day visit with daughter

July...the 4th and will read "John Adams", new,
      by David McCullough.

      August...big, my birthday.

I don't like to plan to far ahead.

      • Persh - If I had more time I would join Army-Navy Club and play gin daily after a nice lunch with the gang but my day seems to escape me with stock market suspense, swimming, gourmet dining, entertained by 3-year old grandaughter and responding to e-mail from Navy buddies. It's really a great life!BTW-I always felt I was self-employed.

    • Hate to disappoint you Plute, fire chief I am not. You would be intrigued if you knew what I did. If you ever get IM, then you may know. Maybe some people are off this week, who knows.

    • My dearest Pluto... First things first, and I believe I can speak freely, since Vis has me on "Ignore"...

I know wc8 personally... He never, ever waits for anything... He is a Doer, not a Not Doer... He is pro-active and not re-active...

In my best estimation you have 20 years on me and wc8... That means you are 20 years wiser, I say that sincerely... I did not say smarter, please make a note of that...

Wisdom comes from making decisions and learning from them... A young man (like me and wc8) can be very intelligent, and make stupid mistakes, because of a lack of wisdom...

In some cases, and in the most primitive sense, Wisdom comes from mistakes... Therefore, a Wise man could have been one of the dumbest sumbitches on earth in his younger years... (Comprendo...?)

wc8 personally prefers eMail, which you would know if you had Instant Messenger, instead of that Circuit City WebTV... He (at least I think he, and he can speak for himself, by the way) does not believe in staring at a hand-set, or phone-tag, or any of that "yesterday" communication bullshet...

Of course, wc8 may speak for himself so Vis can share the message, but I for one must defend his "Six"...

I sincerely hope your team wins the F4...

Yes, I am fishing Maky... It is a long story...
