    messenger

You can go to Yahoo.com, then go to Messenger down with all the other things at the top of the page, explains how to download, then you can add people you want to talk with, you enter their yahoo id, if you wanted me to be on your friend list, you would go to messenger, type in newtoboard2002, then put in your message. Then I either accept or decline.

    • Persh,

Your posts are so good they're worth reading twice.

I'll reiterate. I think your post was the right thing to do. As a matter of fact, I think there would have been some hurt feelings had you not. It's that kind of board, even though I'm still pretty new.

You might be right about the American people are willing to step up if there's an oil embargo. The main problem with it is that it would cost jobs. It's about more than pain at the pump. But how long do you think the weasels that we buy oil from would keep an embargo in place? Not long. They're too selfish and greedy and need the money to stay in power. They'd make pissy ass excuses to sell us oil, just the way they make pissy ass excuses for "why they hate us" and everything else they need an excuse for. They do what they need to do to satisfy their greed and hedonism. That won't change, just because we get tough with them. But we won't find out, because the politicians won't pursue that route. They will continue to kiss ass. I don't think I'd want to kiss Arafat's ass. Gotta be bad hygiene, don't you think?

    • I don't know why that went on twice/Persh

    • Lib,

      I agree...I love messenger even though I don't
      use it a lot.

As for my post, I do feel it was the right thing. Doing it required some thought but I think it was good.

As for the mideast crisis an embargo on Arab oil might be painful but I think most Americans
would step up. It might settle things quicker than most realize. I am hearing it discussed more and more.

And what would the environmentalist do? ;-)

    • Persh,

I don't know you near as well as the rest of the board does, but I think to not have informed the board would have been inconsistent with what transpires here.

Hope you're doing well. Make sure in your next post, that you get on Newby and AMD for not using messenger.

    • I am right accross the street from AP-6. I am in a validation group, but am a software developer so know quite a few developers. i worked in ppd for a few years so know some people in the r&d area. having been at AP for 15 years, i naturally know many people from all over even if i don't always remember their names.

    • You currently in ADD north park ops or south park ops? Even though I am not in ADD I do happen to know quite a number of people at both ends. ADD operations, manufacturing, facilities, are some of the groups where Iknow people, not too many in the R&D areas though.

    • sure is. also, a lot of us at abbott add change jobs every few years as projects come and go, so you meet a lot a people along the way.

    • Student,

Depending on where you work and what hours, sometimes you know a lot more people there then you may think. Boy, it's like a little city isn't it?

    • AMD,

I thought about it...but this is uncharted water. I felt better having done it.

Now after some time has passed I still feel good about telling you guys. I hope to start posting again, I'm reading your messages everyday.
