Pontesowna, not to belabor an old topic, but you may have made the challenge to discover the source of your name unduly difficult - the Ian McLean translation you cite spells the name of the Gypsy chief "Pandesowna." Was it Pontesowna in the original French?
...and also yesterday Persh and I wondered if maybe a couple of people are not gaming the board? Now, let me say, and I believe Persh agrees, it's OK if they are. Afterall it is cyberspace.
That is not exactly true. The General came in to help out and was worried about West Nile fever and Pontesowna. I just said it sounds like a county in Mississippi where some degenerate Southern writer lived. Speaking of
Southern writers just read "Taps". great book in paperback now. By Willy Morris.
Good news for Abbott! I still am a little gun-shy in this market and have only bought back half of what I sold in recent weeks.
I thought the ID refered to wanting a pontiac!
P.S. Had a great time Persh ;~)
I thought maybe you had wisely decided to stuff it after your one adolescent comment about my origin and legitimacy, but I can see that I was deluding myself. Too bad. I was just beginning to view you as a credible person.
How's that? I changed the subject line to more accurately reflect what will happen. You know how good my predictions are. Now if we could just get Persh to post "Mid 40's right around the corner" we'd be in good shape. Will be interested to see if the Synthroid cloud being lifted helps tomorrow.
I posted last week about the origin and legitimacy of Sandy.
Read an interesting piece tonight from a technician who points out that the mentality of the public is still too complacent. People still want stocks to be a part of their retirement. This technician says that until people don't ever want to see a stock again and not consider owning them, that we won't have enough doom, gloom and pessimism to reach a bottom. He acknowledges that we could have a nice rally in a bear market. Interesting article.
