    Humira Giveaway....

With the price down $1.36/$1.29 wonder if this is the earnings hit that has concerned the analysts on their 2003 projections for the drug? It sure is a good piece of PR. Whether it will speed up Medicare reimbursement approval is ?. These guys can take their own sweet time from 6 months to 1 over a year. Interestingly, while they may not get global coverage, each area can approve payment on an individual basis. This action and discretion by each of the regional directors can heavily influence the national decision process. We'll see...

    Web...
Good to see you back. I suggest to the Board Buds that WC becomes the Director of Insurance for Klacker's.You would make a fine choice and be a real credit to the Insurance Industry, Docs, and Patients. At least we would know your looking out for the little guy's interest.

    • Once an a$$hole admits it, the pressure is off... No more built up tention, pinching cheeks, or rumbling bowels...

Its out there... Everyone knows it, and appreciates it...

The Brain, Heart, and A$$hole were chit chatting about their importance...

The Brain touted intelligence, wisdom, and strategy... In fact said the Brain, if not for me the body would simply be a blob...

The Heart bragged about compassion, stamina, fortitude... The Heart laughed at the Brain and A$$hole and said if I were to stop working, you would both be dead...

The A$$hole called them a couple of Hillbilly Cheerleaders... He ceased to work, he clammed up...

Within a few hours, the Heart pumped feverishly... The Brain could not think at all... They both conceeded that the A$$hole was really in control, afterall...

Being an a$$hole does not have to be a bad thing... Admitting it can bring new respect to the table...

    • MTG saying 4 little words....Priceless!!!

      Ortho

    • He has too much hate built up Ortho, for whatever reason... X employees are so bitter...

All it would take is four little words, and he would be forgiven and live for eternity in Board Budville...

A "I am an A$$hole" proclamation would surely set him free... It worked for me...

    • Web....

Thanks for the free advertisment, but probably closer to Oscar Meyer's.

MTG must have been drinkin some bad shine, he seems to get worse with each post!

    • The only lost revenue to Abt. are pts that would be on Humira even though not reimbursed. The real cost to Abt. is for the mfg of the product and distribution. Pennies on the sales dollar. This program is considered gratis and will become a business expense. Abt. having a 23-24 percent tax rate further reduces their costs. Also, the larger mfg. volumes increases efficiencies and lowers the overall cost of the product. As always, Horny.

      • The giveaway is just that...lost revenue and ultimately lost earnings...and anyone who tries to disguise it in other words is full of ****.
Yesterday we sold a portion of our ABT shares that we have held for many years...You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know thatwhen you spend time, money, etc on research and develop a product that is expected to make money and then you give it away, that you hurt the immediate and long term bottom line.
I am not against national health.I support it.I would like to see the U.S have a health care system similiar to Canada or England(and I know their shortfalls).BUT don't ask individuals to invest their $ in drug research and then give the product away because of political or humane reasons.
I suggest that the ABT mgmt and b.o.d donate their salary and perks, options etc to sr citizen groups.I would applaud their philanthropic attitude....But let them do it with THEIR money.

    • Thanks Ortho... I figure if you buy Clacker Protection from me, through Gaydar, Inc., I will send you a free lemon yellow Speedo with "Clacker Jax" on the Buttocks and "Surprise Inside" on the Bananna Bag...

      Its a Winner...

I am working on the Logo, whacha think about a Mushroom...? It may be too close to an Umbrella, but may attract the Snipped Circu_lation...

Always thinking Ortho, and when I am not, I am wondering why...

      • Only you Web would think of a free giveway Lemon Yellow Speedo. You might want to add the little guy in the sailor suit that is on the Cracker Jacks box for your "Clacker Jax". But if you are going to offer consistent Quality for the prize inside, you may need to buy synthetic material to meet specs. Afterall we would not want that surprise to be disappointing to some members of youre insurance pool.

How about two shiney steel ball bearings with a pair of scissors opened underneath? Kinda captures the essence of your business.
