What a nasty couple of days up in Chicagoland.
Storm after storm while trying to get away on Wednesday. Got to spend three hours in O'Hare's penalty box Wednesday night.
Abbott looking good today, SMBI holding it's own, CAH getting hurt on update of old news
on SEC probe.
Glad to be back, but took some patience to get caught up.
Maybe AOK could start his own MB where people could go if all they want to do is fight and name call.
great top down day in Pa

Well, I remember my first 20 years growing up in that little southern Indiana town of 600. Yes, Vietnam was a stupid war and I think U.S. would be better off if WWII was our last war. What did we accomplish in Korea? My twin brother joined the navy the week after the Korean War started. His plane got shout up once but he made it back to the carrier. Mogadishu has to be the all time winner. I remember during the Vietnam war the kid across the street with the bumper sticker, "One A-bomb could ruin your whole day." I always told him without an A-bomb could ruin your whole life. Now, he is probably the best known psychiatrist in Las Vegas. He went to school in Fresno. I wanted my son to join the army or navy after H.S. but he wouldn't have any part of it. Now, my grandson is 12 and I sure don't want him going off to anyplace like Iraq. Wise people change their mind whereas fools never do.

Penn-I'm curious where you eat these days in Waukegan? When I was a kid best restaurant in area was run by an Irishman Ray Radigan's just south of Kenosha. Hope Persh returns soon the board has been wounded by attacks and I think I'll cease firing for weekend at least.Had great grilled Tuna for lunch with Covey Run Chardonnay.....couldn't find that in Waukegan I bet. Check Six PS-ABT & HSP looking like life-rafts in rough seas.
Plute,
got in so late on monday, wasn't much choice,
went to Firkin's for a couple of Beemish Stouts and called it a night. Tuesday, an old favorite, not very fancy but great steaks, Jimmy's Charhouse, they also serve Guinness, so that helped the decision process.

Radigan's is still there and still a good place to eat. Mathon's and the Parkway are both closed.
plute,
in waukegan, its Ofelia's -- good home cooked Mexican and even I can afford it!
For the record, I have move to Downers Grove. nice area, but doesn't have the rawness of waukegan!
Visiting Waukegan is just one step above visiting North Chicago. Glad you survived! ! !
waukegan is tampico mexico NORTH.....taco stand on every corner and a family of landscapers in every one bedroom apartment.
thanks
