study the historical earnings reports from the last year, and market reaction. Couple this with the fact that the price is proven to be subject to explode above 71 at any time with many estimating it to be a $73. Finally, what's happening today? If you doubt, then hold a short position, but, history and analysis maybe very much against your call.
Posting history for the Dork shows that he likes to trash ABT. Maybe a disgruntled former or current employee. Regardless of his motives, you're right and he's wrong.
IMO ABT is a stock that will be a winner for remainder of year.
yep, I am a digruntled ex-abbott employee; so many of my family members and friends have dedicated so many years (over 100 for my familiy alone) to the success of Abbott. Like many companies Abbott does what they need to do to satisfy the shareholders.
From an investment standpoint, I would think the spin-off will allow AbbVie to focus more on research, creating much more potential for growth in other areas. Addditionally, do not forget Abbott the other branch of the company, which will no longer be tied to the risk of drugs not being approved and will actually benefit from expired patents.
I see this as a win-win situation with both companies positioning themselves for rapid stock growth.
