Will ABT be focusing on increasing its dividend from the current pautry new .56 dividend? I know its focus is now growth, but wondering if it will at some point return to its dividend focused history.
NBR guest liked ABT & expects 10% annual growth in div. time will tell.
Hopefully when the new ABT has it's 1st conference call they will make some statement about how they plan on returning value to shareholders via dividend increases and/or buy backs. If they do not maybe one of the attending analyst's will. I owned COP which spun off its refining business in early 2012 and the new PSX started with a very small dividend. They raised it 2 times in a row, so every quarter was an increase. Apparently this new issue with a possible B&L purchase could also have an impact.
Sentiment: Buy
I'm wondering the same thing. What kind of yearly dividend growth are we going to see? I haven't seen any estimates anywhere. All I can find is it's starting at 14 cents a quarter.
I remember reading about it in the Form 10 that was issued about the split. That is the place to look.
Um, I don't know where I've been, but my last Waterhouse statement, November, indicated ABT was paying 3.1%............WOT HAPPENED?
tia.
most of the "OLD" abbott dividend went to abbvie.
It split in to 2 companys you get a share of abbv and a share of abt so div was allso split betwenn the 2 if you add them both its the same
I was wondering the same thing. I bought ABT back when its div was around 5%.
Though Yahoo had a typo but see the same other places.
