In December, Abbott licensed a product called Hextend from a small biotech out in Berkeley, CA called Biotime. It is supposed to be some type of blood plasma volume expander. Does anyone have any information regarding this product or its potential. I've done all the research I can about the company and product but can't find anything that leads me to believe that it is not legitimate. Curious as to Abbott's history in regards to getting invloved with small startuops like this. Really, trying to make sure I am not getting into some major biotech scam. Thanks for any and all replies.
Thanks, I have become very familiar with Biotime and their web site.
The reason for my post was I wanted opinion from the Abbott side as to the potential for this drug. I am a believer in this extrmemely speculative company and am tying to verify things that I have found from different sources.
