Anyone know where we can read about the logic for the downgrade. Looks like they have a habit of doing that same downgrade on SRZ on a regular basis. Reads pretty much the same on Yahoo history. Might they be in bed with the "lets bring it down to a buying price" folks? Or am I being a bit sinister? ?????
There is no "logic' to it. You misunderstand the purpose of the calls ... it is not about helping the investor but about being "correct" so they can use those stats in marketing to attract more investors willing to pay for their high end research. SRZ has had a fantastic run of late and to remain healthy, it needs to consolidate some of those gains. So logic says it has to have some sort of pull back near these recent highs so they downgrade it on a valuation basis. They don't have to pick how high it will go or how low, all they need to do is be "correct" ... they downgrade and it fell from the point of their call and that is counted as a win when it comes time to publish stats for the marketing literature. You will rarely get anything "free" from an analyst that is worth anything. And just think about it for a moment ... if they really knew what they were doing, why would they be working for a brokerage outfit in the first place?
stiffel niclolas is one of the slimest groups out there, they're notorious for this kind of manipulation.the thing i've learned from it is that every time they do it it's actually time to back oup the truck
little pullback is needed, squeeze the short term holders. I only at the bottom, not only do I own this stock but I have a family member in their assisted living community. I know things are good and are getting better. Don't worry bout the downgrade.
Hope my order at $11.02 hits, I don't understand the logic either but I do see a buying opportunity created buy the sell off and wonder if maybe that would be the logic behind the downgrade... Best Wishes to ALL!
a downgrade on a stock in the senior care industry seems a bit ignorant, to put it bluntly; with the significant balance sheet improvements made at SRZ over the course of the past year, combined with their position in the marketplace, there is little to no justification for a downgrade, imo - why would you HOLD a stock that certainly has HUGE UPSIDE, with increasing rates leading to improved revenues and profits and with a growth strategy for the future? These reports usually coincide with a meeting with management, but I cannot see how this one does...jmo.
Exactly! It just doesn't have any logic to it imo. Me thinks the stench of a bottom buyer is lurkin' in the background of this downgrade. imo. Holy cow! My safety GTC of $11.00 just got executed at Scottrade while I was posting. I only changed it from $10.36 yesterday. I didn't think it would hit the $11.00 after yesterday. Now I'll have to buy it back again for a few pennies more I guess. That was not a good move on my part. I should not play ... just stay. LOL Oh well!
