Is it possible to put a stop on quote order to protect against potential losses? Like after the run up, right before the news is about to be released, i would imagine the price will be very close to one dollar if not above it. IS it possible to be a stop on quote order at like .70 or .80, sell instantly if the news is negative - or will they release the news in the pre-market and we all get crushed.
i think if they just gave us a day WHEN the news will be released it would be so much easier. why dont they do this? they must know by now when they will release the data.
Tiger---not an expert on stops---but in my past experience---you get crunched by the market makers and the big boys....For example-----lets say prior to Synavive you put a stop market order.......You wake up the next morning---hello----your stop at 1.10, i.e. got taken out that morning at .78.... you were last in line--pre-market crunched you....Stops-----always risky business in my experience....Others may have clearer tales.....
well that's unfortunate. i wouldnt even mind losing 40%. but zlcs future is basically predicated on this drug. if the trial is anything but positive investors should not expect any gains for many many years, if ever. later investors maybe but we'll be holding the bag.
