Is volume important in following a stock? Most I'm sure would answer --yes.
Some stocks can march to greener pastures with not real large volume---see LOPE.
But generally speaking---volume is showing interest in that particular stock...
On Friday----Zalicus had the largest single day volume since March 2010! 3 and a half years.
Even the Synavive disaster-the worst news of Zalicus in the last 4 years--did not have that volume..
What is this saying? Simply volume for a drug granted Orphan Designation??? Nah---I just can't see it.
that's why i'm a broken record about volume...volume. Does it mean we have a successful Phase 2 in the bag? No----but------man--no way am I gonna argue with that volume!!!
TTMA- YOU SCRUFFY BAGHOLDERS!!!
I meant to say that it DOES suggest positive tidings. Durrr.
The volume certainly doesn't suggest positive tidings in Q4. I imagine some of this has to be institutional investors.
hw-that's what i thought Friday--looks the same today---Friday was TOO MUCH VOLUME for Orphan Designation-JMO...........
volume in abt 2 hours 4x daily average - not bad :)
