First quarter earnings were really great. Sporting goods sales up over 15%-- their new products are seem to be well received in the market. Information security sales off a little due to timing of orders. And EPS up 28%! It looks like these guys are doing all the right things.
So why does the stock sell for less than book value and less than 10x eps? This thing should be $8 or $9. What am I missing?
and i dont think you have seen anything near what they can produce in earnings yet. have known them for 30 years. look for higher earnings, increases in dividends, more insider buying and additional company repurchases. small caps just have yet to join the market party but esca is high of the list of participants. its a very thin stock and will have tendency to move in gaps. i think once past the 6.40 old high there is no resistance to around 9. have faith.
