Homosassa? Really? I can't imagine there are two of us in this tiny place who got caught up in the HTS debacle. Too cold and wet to go red fishing. Trout season closed. So I stay inside and buy HTS. Idle hands, etc.
I live in Sugarmill...play golf at Southern Woods. We have fished charters for grouper. sp. mack and a few kings.Been a while ...getting too old.I have been trading mriets for 2 years about.Bought a few shares of HTS and AGNC on the dips.I heard that a fund in trouble was the culprit..but have nothing to confirm this. The sector is also being hurt by Bernanke's announcement that the Fed will start to back away in March. This hopefully will occur overtime to prevent a "knee jerk". Good Luck
So do you think a significant portion of longs are tied up in margin accouts? Close to $2 below book value. Might explain some of the fast exits. Perhaps HTS was going to raise money similar to NLY and the news got out? If there is news it will probably come out after market close which is annoying.
