You say shareholders should hold Brian Cook accountable, but for what? Iraq? North Korea? Massive consumer debt and decreasing consumer confidence? A double dip recession? The company's fundamentals are still more than strong enough to support 2x the current stock price. Brian can do something about the company's fundamentals, but he cannot control the stock price in the current economic and political environment.
I agree and would go even further. Who _cares_ about the stock price? What if this item falls to 2x earnings? Do we bitch at Mr Cook for serving us a massive Free Lunch of nearly Biblical proportions? Or do we set down and eat?
