    1:16 unemployed, part 1

As you walk down the street or go shopping in a mall, look around you and think:

For each 16 people you see, more than 1 of them is now unemployed. This number does not include those who gave up on looking for a job.

As time moves forward, a greater and greater percentage of the population:

    -Runs out of unemployment benefits.
--Becomes dependent on relatives for survival.

-Knows another person who is unemployed.

-Recognizes the futility of investing in stocks that depend on a strong economy and high employment.

If you then investigate further, you will find:
-Long lines at Aldi grocery stores where food prices are about 30% lower than the better known chains.
-Long lines at Save-A-Lot grocery stores where food prices are about 27% lower than the better known chains.
-Shorter lines at the higher cost stores.
-Shorter lines at discretionary spending stores like Circuit City and the like.
