They are trying to shake out any weaker investors who can't stomach the ride down. And they short it on the way down... they must know that it will bounce back. I believe they will.. just my opinion, however.
No reason at all... In fact, there is no reason for the price to have dropped from $27 all the way to $9 in the last 3 months. It is the same company today it was then, in fact one could argue they are a better company today with expanded partnerships and JV's in place (Bunge, DOW, Unilever).
The price has dropped due to:
1. The overall market volatility which has led to a risk off situation.
2. Short sellers have gotten hold of it.
Not to worry thought, this company has very bright prospects and I am 100% confident that this stock will be a winner. Will it happen next week? No. In fact, it will take 3-5 years. But at some point down the line this should be a $100+ stock assuming no splits or secondary offerings. Just hang on.
