Can anyone provide info on how analysts are calculating the PTs they are giving SZYM? We are seeing $19 and up to $29 (Morgan Stanley) by year-end. Would be interesting for us to discuss the calcs that are being use to arrive at these targets.
It wasn't a quick number given by Cramer. He spent an entire segment on Speculation Friday to go into detail on how to put a value on a speculative stock, and used SZYM as his guinea pig.
He went through 6 steps to value a spec play, and SZYM passed with flying colors on all of them. He based his $19 valuation based on SZYM's peers...which...if I may interject...are all biofuel plays, which undervalue the company.
After all was said and done he put a value of $19 on SZYM TODAY, not a 1 year target.
He also invited the CEO to come on the show anytime to talk about SZYM.
Apparently after he dismissed SZYM last week as too speculative he has had a "come to Jesus" moment. You could tell by the way he was talking about the stock that he had done some real research on the stock...and he REALLY liked what he saw.
I know there are a lot of people who don't like Cramer, but I have always thought his major problem was the he had to fill 5 hours of television a week, and therefore has to throw out a lot of names, therefore making a lot of his advice questionable at best.
