In the COP transcript of their 3Q earnings call, management said they had 1.8 billion boe in their 230,000 acres in the oil window. EOG has around 572k acres in the oil window, but they project 1.5 billion boe. These are not proved resources, but it seems like a large discrepancy to me. Anyone have any ideas on this? Maybe EOG has a lot more oil in the ground than management is disclosing?
