It would be better at this point to announce a share buyback rather than increase the dividend - there are a lot of people out there who might want to sell some shares off for a profit, but with such low volume it is difficult. For those large holders, sometimes it might be possible to do a private placement. There was a story in the press recently about brokers who specialize in face to face selling when large shares of thinly traded companies are involved.
That's an interesting concept and thought. I just don't see that happening. When they bought back the shares a few years back the stock was SUBSTANTIALLY undervalued. I am 100% expecting an increase in September. If you are trying to get rid of some I would predict that will be a good opportunity to do so.
They had a buyback program a couple of years ago done with borrowed money since payed back I believe. Bought back about 10% of the shares. Some were on the open market and some were off market large block purchases.
