If these type collisions begin to increase, the sky will begin to fall but I see your point Mr. Little ;-) There is so much junk up there right now, much of it no longer functional that these things will happen (perhaps as orbits decay slowly) but I am not sure how easy it is to do it intentionally. Even this new sat of ORB's is 5000 pounds. I would think the company producing the sat would have to have insurance as to its proper functioning, the launch company for the launch and after that I would think the company that purchased the sat would be responsible if the first two parties did their job properly. It has been difficult to hold stocks through this period and you were wise to sell your ORB and wait for a better price which I hope you got around this level.
Are you eagerly awaiting some spring warmth back there? I know I am here in WA. State where the weather has been stranger than normal the past couple of years. BTW, did I see your name on the DUK board? Seems like that would be a pretty decent dividend play about now.
