Amen! As I think back to my youth and watching our first hesitant steps to launch our first satellite and then hearing Kennedy's speech on reaching the moon and finally having the first crew do it, I reflect in wonder at the courage and vision of those men and the families behind them which made it come true. And until Curiosity landed on Mars, I despaired that we had lost that vision as a country and people. Hopefully we have not but it will take leadership and foresight to advance from here.
Mars is priests' business. It's too far away to stir the emotions of the masses. 99.9% of them wouldn't not be able to pinpoint it in the night sky. Moon is the real target and, after it's been done, mankind has no goal, and is therefore in decline. (back to the cave)
