Is trying to develope their own RLV, alot of
Comglomerates are spending huge sums, to get into space(see
    aviation weekly).

Orb has the leg up, will be the
key player in the future of wireless data
    transmission.

    • Theres a new web site to help with DD on Orbital
Sciences located at www.powerize.com. Theyll register you
for free and give you free access to info from 2,400
      sources (international and national newspapers,
newswires, business magazines, trade journals, and
newsletters). You can search by ticker or company name. Check
      it out.

    • Add NYC's largest private fleet, Green Line/Varsity Transit
to the ORB stable (unofficial) and we've got those handsome New Yorkers covered!

      See ya' at the beach!

    • THANKS FOR NYC BUS DEAL INFO.
      Since these are
      piolet projects, lets hope they
      are a sucess, the TA
NYC, is quickly coming into the 21 century
      with
increase in bus service happening because of increase

ridership,(and a budjet surplus) this may be a big contract for
orb, in the future what other city
      has as many
buses as NEW YORK ! I think none!!!

    • MTA Bus jobs

LI BUS = GPS with correction
data + Ericsson / GE EDACS 9600 Baud
      20 rf pairs
Trunked system analog voice / Digital modulation
      data.

Head End = Orb Stuff + computers + Radios

      Bus
      end = Orb Stuff + Radio + 3rd party transit head /
      controller
      (color lcd / touch screen?)

      about 300
      buses...delivery coming up

      NYC TA

      Most likely 2400
or 4800 baud dedicated radio and radio channel half
duplex analog modems built into ORB harware
      (like
      202s for you old timers)
      MOT can't do trunked voice
/ data as far as I know. I belive channels are
coming off the TA trunk system to do
      this.

Transit or ITS systems are most likely a foot note in
      ORB's
      total sales. Anybody know?

    • Services. I listened to a story on National
Public Radio this morning that featured Boeing. The gist
of the story was that Boeing wants to get into the
satellite data services business because management
(Stonecipher-CEO)believes they can make more money selling such services
over time than they can with aircraft in the near
      term.

Though nobody mentioned ORB in the story,
others in the business were mentioned (Loral, for
example) as companies that were way ahead of Boeing in
this field. Boeing has a lot to do to catch up.
      Executives mentioned the risks involved.

      Does this
suggest more fuel for the buyout rumor mill? I don't dare
speculate. Rather, I see it as an acknowledgement by a major
aerospace company that recognizes the vitality of this
industry and is willing to put its money where its mouth
      is.

The point of my posting is to merely
point out what the longs already know: Patience will be
rewarded with a move upward in the price of our stock.

    • Bullish:
      The money flow is reading
      oversold
Stochastic just had a cross over in oversold terrirtory
      today

      Bearish:
The obv shows "smart" money leaving
      the trend is
      down

      The answer is Bullish

      On a completely
      different issue.
On the SPAB board, I read that someone
      was asking about the
      possiblity of ORB taking
      over SPDV.
Does anyone have a take on
      that.

      Thanks in advance

      • why bother with spacedev ( a $2 bulletin board
stock trading a 1000 shares a day (500 actual when you
        exclude the 2x nasdaq factor)?

        It has no US sales,
limited overseas sales(eg read social welfare sales) and
no technology ORB does not already possess or cannot
buy. They are buying some x-band radios from SPDV in
Europe, but why buy the company? It is too small to do
anything but add another distraction to ORB mgmt (great
--three more small offices to add to the overhead pool.
Hey now, that will really acclerate profitability.)

      • starting in SEPT, NYC MANHATTAN ,4 BUS LINES

        EXTENDED
ALL BUS LINES,I BELIEVE THIS CONTRACT WAS AWARDED
