Looks like we have our message board back -- what was that all about? Let's talk about AZZ again:
I can report that drilling rigs are working about 3 miles east and 6 miles west of the Crowley drill pipe facility. Looks like AZZ may be parked right on top of the Barnett Shale. I have got to believe the pipe unit is active. Can anyone report if AZZ sold their surplus land in Crowley?
I think the company's next expansion play should be in gas -- the economics look strong and the company is positioned in the right geographic location with what appears to be substantial plant assets. Maybe they should fabricate drilling rigs -- there is quite a shortage and a number leases in the area are apt to run out before enough rigs can be deployed. Or, heck, drill the Crowley location! Anyway, the NYSE loves a good gas story right now -- let's see if we can accordingly add some value to this stock.
putting up drill rigs everywhere here in Tarrant COunty! Along 820, Trinity Blvd exit, Eastchase Prkway in east ft Worth/west Arlington. Good move in azz price today and as you said the 10 day mov avg is higher than the 30 day. Something happening here..what it is ain't exactly clear. Surplus land sale should show up in 10Q when reported.
Many of those wells being drilled in Tarrant County will never pay out. Unfortunately, many of the companies drilling in this play do not understand the play and are just trying to get close to the companies (Devon) that do understand the play. Classic case of lemmings getting on the bandwagon too late.
