Actually, this is a penny stock. The term started with shares traded under a dollar on the Denver and like exchanges. However, the SEC seized upon the terminology and officially applied it regs on shares under $5.
upside volume IS a good thing! Yessssir!
I think a lot depends on "cap n trade"... We need that vote next month.
If Obama doesn't get the Healthcare vote, and doesn't get the cap and trade... he will look like "Cap N Crunch". Obama NEEDS the cap n trade, and so do we... as investors, that is.
I highly doubt Nacel will drop below a dollar, at least not for a very long time. First of all they have had a lot of recent exposure to potential investors, especially in the fortune ad. The government along with the rest of the developed nations are trying to decrease their dependence on fossil fules. Nacel also continues to aquire new projects and they look like they have a strong corporate team. Renewable energy is the future.
I have doubts about the future, look what happened to solar energy after the oil scare in the seventies.
All kinds of start ups, amounted to nothing. Pickens said he delayed his project because of electrical grid issues. Whatever. But his headlines are over. Given the debt load of this country, there will be energy savings but wind may only be a niche player, not a major factor at all. It is costly to set up right, and cannot deliver anything like natural gas, for example, which already has infrastructure. I am just
easing off on hype. IMHO.
I agree with you. This is not an 'overnighter'. It will take time to make Nacel a truly viable player in the wind industry. But I stay with it because of the direction they are headed (potential). This will probably never end up to be the next TITANIUM METALS, surging from mere pennies to well above $50 at one point, but it will be a solid investement with revenue and good-looking books later on. 30-year agreements on wind generation per deal is sweet when you think about it. Its the same feeling as when Pfizer or someone else comes out with a new pharmaceutical product and you know they have rights to it for the next so many years.
