    CAG Performance

I don't understand you guys touting CAG stock. This company is not going anywhere.

    Dealing only with two issues:

1st issue The CAG leadership team of Goldstone/Rodkin has been in place since Oct. 2007. Price of stock at that time roughly $26. today roughly $30 --7years... A whole army of Pepsi Pete's (my name for Rodkin's old buddies from Pepsi) have come and gone..fat employment agreements to start...big payoffs to leave.....meanwhile the company has floundered with no meaningful new products and stagnat to down sales on the others.

The Rlaston acquisiton is a mess. Not knowing staff was fired etc. etc. until after the papers signed is laughable.

2nd Issue. Cag brands all second, third and fourth rate. They are being squeezed of the shelf by private/store label. CAG basically now a private label mfg. What a shame. Less

    • Stock seems to follow same pattern. Out the gate it drops and rises as day goes on. #$%$ me off as an option trader because it's lagging..

    • bumgag!!!!!!! lost you years ago. You were always a bitter critic of everything CAG, and wonder why you've stayed on here. been a bit better past year, agree solid growth yet to be maintained. thought the Ralcorp buy would be producing better results by now. seems cag having a bit of trouble absorbing Ralcorp. good to see your name again. I've stuck to my shares --so far--with Rodkin. he pumped some life into Cag after the dismal Rohde years. But I think the latest lower earnings/sales reports put pressure on him to perform better, after the giant $7 billion paid for Ralcorp.

    • I was revisiting CAG today. I was a holder from 2002-2005. In at $24 and out $26 after 3yrs. Looking at it because of the private label buy. Need to do more HW, but I think your input is dead on. Maybe they will do a Sara Lee and spin-off/divest down the road. Something needs to be done to get the stock price moving!!
