That is a fair question. Here are my 2 answers. 1) They are already sufficiently leveraged and have a "complete" position for their investment strategy or 2) things are not so promising. I wish I knew which.
Fair question indeed. There are plenty of insiders working with KWK other than the Dardens who do already own a large % of the outstanding shares. Their GC and CFO both sold shares in June, 2013. I see no outright buys except for what looks like a private placement (24MM shares) for an Eli Weinberg in June, 2013. Then you have SPO selling 7.3MM in May, 2014.
