The big boys are pulling out all the stops. This is one sweet short squeeze! I can't imagine why anyone would cover now. The bottom will drop for these stocks by Q1 2007. Seems to me this is an incredible opportunity to short more shares (assuming I can get any).
Q4 has historically been the time that HB's, flush with cash from liquidating invetory all summer have been actively buying back shares, thus the funds use the opportunity to squeeze the small fry. Unfortunately there isn't much free cash to buy back shares this year, so the squeeze may end prematurely. Just hold on tight and wait for the other foot to fall.
PHM already green, it only took 15 minutes to force the shorts to cover. Bill M. turned on his buy program and one phone call to management got their broker to turn on the mega-buyback program too...and a call to CNBC got the hype machine going...off to the moon!! There may never be another down day in the stock markets. Once the Fed is happy with where the markets are, they will concentrate on any housing weakness with a couple of rate cuts. Short away!
