How Many Shares Of PHM Did Citi Buy?

They probably loaded up thinking as many analysts did that building permits would be up so upgraded PHM thinking that they would make a huge killing.

However, what a surprise permits took a huge dive.

Poor Granny and the unsuspecting believers in Citi's recommendation bought but will probably be sorry real soon. Citi is probably already out but not with the big profit they expected.

    • They were probably the ones buying huge chunks of call options not long ago (I think Monday or Tuesday), expiring this Friday. At that time, I remember reading the stock price would have to go up .40 for them to be even. So I guess that's why this Citi analyst was upgrading it yesterday to save their ass... Too much manipulation in this market that it's disgusting. Lies, lies, lies and some more lies in order to line your pocket in any way you can.

    • Starts took a dive, permits did not. They were lower, but not by very much considering the time of year.

There will be more upgrades off this bottom going into the normal building season this spring.

But if you want to short this going into the face of the tax credit, go for it!
