this is excatly what the kors bashers don't want to talk about. coach was popular in the west and japan before it became popular in china, it was their last major market that helped them accelerated through 2011 and early part of 2012. when sales and popularity starts to fade in other markets, sales started to decelerate. its only a matter of time that it fades fastly in china.
on the other hand, kors popularity accelerated in the u.s., europe, and japan. look at their most recent few qtrs with data to support the trend. they are barely known in china right now. they will catch up soon and when they do, you see continued growth for kors. fashion trends are set in the west, not in china. china will follow fashion from beyond.
u.s. economic data tells me kors will continue to benefit.
