Has everyone seen the web advertisements on the Yahoo and CNBC pages? I am curious as to the effectiveness and cost of this web campaign. Also, do you think Michael Kors is using the money from the last SPO to fund this web advertising campaign (J/K)?
I checked this out based on your post, I do a fair amount of shopping via the internet and I confess, I never even consider Yahoo as a search engine to find merchandise. Just wonder if I am alone in this feeling. Yahoo software has been so unreliable I guess my view was why would you use it for a financial transaction. My thoughts on Yahoo. On CNBC, I usually have it muted so if advertising is done I would miss it. Great guestions. Would be nice to understand more about this web campaign.
Management explained at the last conference call that the firm will be making a further push into the web for direct sales, and this is one way of doing it. I doubt that it is too costly for them. They also said they will start to manage their own website (currently managed by Neiman Marcus) as the current website is kinda pathetic.
I have also learned that KORS will be making a major push into Ralph Lauren market with a plethora of products including leather items for men.
