More, look at the pounding all those call options took this morning, hopefully it was covered calls for those looking for a little margin, the Jun 65 calls are now down over 70%. The high hopes expressed by all the longs on this board has been busted, I guess we now need to hold for another miracle. I'm not sure I am up to that again.
I am not a believer that the overall market is the problem, this stock has got to overcome some very negative feelings related to their past actions, no question the business is running extremely well, but there is no real interest in owning this stock. This stock should be hot, but the market just does not want to own it You saw how TIF responded to good earnings, not as good as Kors, and in this bad market TIF has not given their gains back. I am getting tired to watching this market pound on this company.
Some companies never seem to be able to convince Mr. Market that they are the real deal regardless of what they accomplish while other favored stocks seem to get a pass even when they fail miserably. KORS still hasn't convinced the masses that it is a premier retailer in the luxury area. Today's lousy market (so far) isn't helping either.
