Not bad-talk to someone who has had surgery for chrons, they will tell you anything that helps you avoid surgery is worth it. phase three should be interesting. Any news on our cholesterol lowering drug candidate?
p.s. cranked up the dose? Problems with metabolism of drug? I.v. administered? I wish they would go over some of this in pr releases.
With my record for investing a 'nice' profit would be anything that isn't a loss. If Affinitac results are conclusively positive I would expect to see 100% from these levels right away.
I don't know anything about a Jefferson Hospital study. Do you have any details?
See, that wasn't so hard was it.
You might be right that the shorts are holding the price down but I suspect it has more to do with the institutional investors viewing Isis as too risky and waiting to see Affinitac trial results before jumping in with both feet. If the trial is positive the stock will explode and you will have made a nice, if not spectacular, profit. But I don't even want to stick my neck out on predicting the Affinitac outcome either way. We just have to wait and see. Pretty exciting though isn't it!

I fully support this statement and I think that Cab and Vassar and rhibozome(sp) add to the quality of this board.
In addition to this, I would suggest that if you are not able to formulate a satisfactory answer to a thoghtful negative poster, you need to think about your decision to invest in the particular issue, or you need to research more until you have developed an answer.
From personal experience, I can tell you that if I had given shorts more credence in some of my investments (Peregrine comes to mind), I would have saved myself tens of thousands of $.
Do you know why the isnt much much higher?I do and it has nothing to do with the science.I own the stock and thats what matters.The company says its science is succeceding.I believe them so your posts to me are irrelevant except you may be representing the people who want the price to go down,Thats why I respond to you.If there wasnt a huge short position and now an analyst coming down on isis on the last cc I would never read any of your posts.You see if the company gets an approval on a drug this stock will make people rich and they wont have to stake all their money. But 5-10% could make them very rich.I will take the risk.
<More irrelevant mast,,bation.>

Ignoring your odd preoocupation with masturbation why don't you tell us what you think about Isis. Obviously you are a supporter so why don't you share the things you like about the company. Give us your take on the science, the business, the investment potential. Have you done well trading the stock? If so when did you get in.
You're right the UK is a particularly hostile reimbursement environment so not the best example to support my argument in the US. Visudine is the only approved option for age-related macular degeneration (wet form) which results in blindness and the UK NICE is balking at reimbursement.
Gancyclovir if I'm not mistaken has only recently been offered in an oral form called Valcyte which is a prodrug of gancyclovir.
