Whoever is shorting FRAN relentlessly despite all the good news, and

praoses from whom? - zacks, motley fool, analysts?? haha.... the same fools were saying that Aaple will see $1000/share soon and now at $450, they are downgrading.. the same fate awaits FRAN. Btw, I went by to check out a Francesca store this past Saturday. There were a total of only 3 customers on a saturday evening.. and 2 of them were just looking at the sale items at the back. The merchandse looked stale. Look at the stock action.. it tells you the whole story... in a bull market this stock can barely move to the upside. Get out of this garbage. You can thank me later.

    • this is a slow time for all companies, after holiday dullness, TJX is empty.......too COLD in the Northeast!! good point get those sell orders in at 38 or higher stop the borrow ing of shorts......this is certainly a hold to earnings which were practically pre announced

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • That may be the case in your fantasy "short" world. In the real world this is whats happening:
The apparel and accessories retailer Francesca’s Holding Corp (FRAN) raised its guidance for the upcoming fourth quarter ending February 2, 2013. The upward revision came on the back of strong sales and margin performance in the holiday season.
The company raised its earnings per share guidance to the range of 29 cents to 30 cents from the previously announced range of 27 cents to 28 cents. Net sales for the fourth quarter are projected to be around $84.5 million to $85.0 million, up 37% to 38% over the comparable prior-year quarter. Net sales were guided up from the range of $82.5 million to $83.5 million announced during the third quarter conference call.
