This is going to be very interesting.
I had followed this and Centocor years ago. Went w/CNTO got bought out, little lucky there.
XOMA was a horror, became a penny stock to trade short term.
1st bought XOMA in 2009, penny stock @ 76 cents, out @96, back in @ March, 2012 @$2.56, out soon thereafter @ $2.78. Still tracked it to the present.
Then this year saw interesting movement, write-ups, back in on 5/22/13 @$4.00 thought for trade only, sold 60% bet.5/28 -5/30, and 6/12 @ $4.32, $4.28, and $4.17 respectively. Bought back the 60% on 6/19, 6/21 @ $3.80, $3.69, and $3.50 respectively. Seemed risk reward was very positive. Then parpabolic move on Friday.
Now I hold it all, but cracking 2-year high, short-term more volatility but more plus-side w/BB backing, though imo still a speculative long term hold. GLTA.
P.S. have owned/loved Imos, (Himx but to lesser degree) and tech followers might want to check/read its Yahoo MB, possibly the most informative board I've followed! This company still has major upside.
the Bakers have had some real bombs too TZYM and ........... The Bakers play both sides of the trade so they take it up and short it down.btw - why did the stock go up today...just because they decided it? Yup..
did the BB sell 7 M shares? 20 M in march 13 M in July or am I misreading it. Don't want to downplay their contribution but really a 60 M investment to these multi billion dollar funds is a miniscule amt. They can afford the risk.... 1.8% of their portfolio TIA
