1. Government shouldn't help the poor, some of the money will be wasted. 2. The rich don't have enough money to invest. Government should cut their taxes. Even better eliminate them. 3. Since the rich need more money middle class people will have to pay more. 4. Don't tell anyone about rule 3 it's a secret.
Do you sometimes forget to breathe?? I never said anything about breaking up companies. Your guy Willard destroyed many companies and made millions doing so. You only care about yourself and just like your candidate you don't care what happens to the country as long as you get to keep your pile.
I worry about my family, myself, my friends, and then everyone else. In that order.
Whatever's left after providing for my family, what I want, and what my friends need (if anything) goes to the charity of my choice.
"The idea that because someone inherited millions of dollars he is better than those with less is not one I can agree with."
That's more of a personal problem than an economic problem. Give a bum a billion dollars and see if he doesn't go around thinking he's better than everyone else.
I won't even touch the part about breaking up companies... If you own something it's yours. do you want a law on the books that says "you can't break up a company and sell off the parts"? Really? REALLY?
It's about what kind of country you want to have. Do we only worry about ourselves and our families or does everyone count?? The idea that because someone inherited millions of dollars he is better than those with less is not one I can agree with. The idea that if someone makes millions destroying companies he buys is not one I endorse. If you do then go ahead and vote for Willard.
I favor a 50% rate on income over a million. And a 40% rate on income between 250,000 and a million. I also favor taxing capital gains and dividends at the same rate as earned income. Payroll taxes should be applied to all income not just the first 100,000. By the way after the first tax cut in 1981 the top rate was 50%.
