It has come down to Ohio. The corporate vampire Willard Romney has cut into Obama's lead here. But Obama retains one key advantage. He saved the auto industry. One out eight jobs in Ohio is related directly or indirectly to the auto industry. People haven't forgotten what Obama did or what Willard Romney wanted which was NO BAILOUT and the death of the auto industry. Obama is hanging on because of the bailout for now. It is 17 days to D day.
I agree, things are getting tough for Romney in Ohio. If I were a Republican strategist, I'd pull Romney and Ryan out of all campaign stops anywhere but Ohio. They need to close about a 2.5 point deficit in four days or lose the election.
A Republican buddy of mine said to me today that he thought the thing to do was yank Romney and Ryan out of every state but Pennsylvania, on the theory that since Penn hasn't been saturated by ads and campaign stops the way Ohio has, it might be easier to close a 5 point deficit there than to close a 2.5 point deficit in Ohio. It would also have the advantage of being a completely unexpected move, one the Obama campaign would have to scramble to counter.
It's interesting, out of the box thinking. Campaigns don't usually like to take big risks, but it's getting pretty close to hail mary time for the Romney campaign.
This...... is Ohio. Obama has the state in the bag. Romney has peaked and now the tide is ebbing. Willard's lies are finally starting to catch up with him. President Obama is showing people what a true leader looks like.
ThIs...... is the battleground state of Ohio. The lies are flying from Romney but Obama contines to have a slight but durable advantage. Only rASSmussen gives Willard the lead. Nate Silver gives Obama a 72% chance to carry the state and with it the elction.
This..... is Ohio. 7 days to go. Obama leads by about 2 when all polls are averaged together. Romney lies are running around the clock on tv but he appears increasingly desperate. Dawn is coming and the vampire is running out of time. As Ohio goes so goes the nation.
8 days to go. Hurricane Sandy is making things less certain on the East coast. But in Ohio the weather is still ok just some high winds of 40 mph. Obama still looks set to win the state and the election. If he does win it will be close and I wonder about all the clueless people voting for Willard Romney. The country is close to a tipping point. I hope there are enough good people to prevent a Willard Romney disaster.
