Federal spending for food stamps has more than doubled since Mr. Obama took office. In 2008, about 28 million Americans received food stamps. Today, that number is more than 46 million, nearly 1 in 6 Americans. In this era of trillion-dollar deficits, the Obama administration saw fit to spend up to $3 million of taxpayers’ money in radio ads to get more Hispanics and working poor on food stamps. No wonder Newt Gingrich tagged Mr. Obama “the food-stamp president.”

Looks like you'll be president for 4 more days
All that means to us is that you're probably eating good
You are correct. I am eating well because I have a good job, no thanks to Obama.
I know you hate poor people getting help but I would rather see people in need get help. Just as Obama is now helping hurricane victims while Bush did nothing during Katrina.
I love this. "Bush did nothing". Yeah well maybe FEMA didn't respond as quickly as they should have... but have you ever thought about this: THOSE PEOPLE WERE TOLD TO LEAVE THE CITY!!! If you're STUPID enough to stay put in a city BELOW SEA LEVEL during a CATEGORY 5 hurricane... maybe you deserve what you get.
My dad always said "If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough"
Give me an f'ing break you ignorant left wing nut #$%$ You wanna talk Katrina, look at the loser politicians in LA. You libs need to spend more time studying the facts instead of running your mouths.
Tell me, what exactly did obama do to help the hurricane Sandy victims? Sure, he went to New Jersey and got in the way of people really doing the work. He had a good photo op to help his miserable campaign. But did he really help?
Wal, you are ignorant beyond belief. Tell me one, just one, positive thing obama has done during his first term. Just one. (hint - it isn't getting osama as that was really accomplished by the Bush policies which obama opposed. Since you seem to be totally ignorant of the facts, I thought I should point this out.)
Again, If Obama was creating good jobs, many poor people would not need help because they have good jobs.
The help that Obama should have been giving, was good jobs, not welfare because he could not create those good jobs.
If Obama would have worked as hard on fixing the economy instead of the passing of the Obamacare Care Health Bill, we would not have this problem. Jobs first, then work on healthcare care reform would have been the better way to go.
He can walk and chew gum at the same time
Agree 100% Blueline, great post. That was certainly "not the time" to push through new legislation.
