The Road to Slavery
Libertarians claim to believe in liberty but their philosophy would enslave most people. Libertarians only want freedom for the wealthy and the corporations. They would be allowed to do ANYTHING they want. Because money brings power and without any countervailing power in the form of government; that power would be totally unchecked. Soon the rich and the corporations would run everything.
Wages would plummet because there would be no unions and no minimum wage. There would be no government services and you would have to pay for everything. Depression would set infor most but the wealthiest people. The road to slavery would be complete.-
You know Wal, you are such an idiot. Everything you just covered describes the Democratic party to a tee. You embarrass yourself by your own ignorance. Have you seen the Lincoln movie? It really paints the Dem party of that age and it hasn't changed one bit. Pukes like you love to pontificant on how generous and caring you are. Yet, at the end of the day, you want to keep people enslaved to the government. Not that I accuse you of all this because I don't believe you are smart enough to concieve of such things. Yet, you are guilty by ignorant association.

When are you going to write a post that actually says something significant??
Your entire post is based on name calling and a pathetic attempt to associate me with the Democratic party of the 19th century. The Old Democratic party started to die with the New Deal and was completely dead with the passage of civil rights. It is the Republican party that represents southern racism now.
The enslavement of people comes from allowing the wealthy few to control our country. A democracy of the workers is what we need.

Unemployment "so high"?? You realize over the past 120 years unemployment is essentially flat -- if you discount WWII. The proof is out there. Google US Unemployment 1890-2011. The best fit curve for that graph is a flat line. Say what you want, but data doesn't lie

You're right in that the rate today is typical. That is because capitalism keeps a reserve army of the unemployed in order to hold down wages.
