That's good that most of you are smart enough not to use them, but I can't help but feel that a majority of investors have at least a stop limit set. All you have to do is search 'stop loss' in google and everybody and their brother is saying to use them which is complete garbage. Who the hell plays a poker game with their entire hand face up on the table for all the high rollers to see?
There are good in case of some major negative event and one is not monitoring the stock on a computer. But be careful, a lot of times if your stop is "too tight", near the market price, the market manipulators will run the stock down to trip your stop and then pop it back up profiting!
