    another deal nobody does understand

    while obviously some might see this as a much needed validation that the company isn't a fraud the terms of the deal once again are telling a different language. Why again raising money after just having finished a huge bond sale a few months ago and the balance sheet full of cash (supposedly)?

    I guess for the brutal bond interest payment coming due soon...or the next dividend...

    the convert pays huge interest and would be immediately convertible which is HIGhLY unusual and represents a very weak placement power.

    Sell. And run fast.

      You didn't posted last weeks so asking how you solve the short bet @ 4.85 with the only intention to learn.
      Likewise we -you and wethepeople- should have read in September begins slowly the expansionary FED pumping out so fuqy US dollar should keep some strength until Ben retires.
      XIN initially did ​​an agreement with Blue Ridge from -or before- the IPO to december 2011 and each time XIN was raising its price strengthened their position through such agreements to avoid -coincidentally- the usual procedure of those who bet short like you.
      XIN 'll continue buying land and building while the stock follows their fate amid the usual fight between shorts and longs.
      Indeed ,can"t wish you the best luck being both on opposite.

    • Could be the bond interest. Dilution would not be too bad though because they bought back share at a lower price. The question I have is if this money is for US expansion, or if it will be used to purchase land in China. If the latter is what the company intends, then yes, one should run fast. If not, the stock will stay where it is until some of the (earlier) large holders have sold out.
