I am looking for the email address of Mr. D. Scott Davis , Chairman, Chief Exec. Officer of UPS.
I want to share a few complaints with him. Based on my recent experiences with UPS I will NOT use UPS in the future. Apparently they have lost control of their retail outlets and really don't care about customer service. The points are minor but add up to poor service. A - Driver used 3 parking stalls blocking my ability to get to the store so package could get on truck pickup. B- When I complained to manager (Kim) she said she had NO control and drivers do as they please blowing off my complaint as a waste of time. C - When I inquired about packing, she wanted to overcharge for stamps and envelope. This happened at the Hawaii Kai store on 7/21/08 2:30 PM or so.
In my view, any company who ignores customer service and is not worthy. While economic conditions cause the UPS problems today, the poor customer service will last will beyond the poor economic conditions of today. It's NO surprise the stock hit a low today.
I cant imagine why anyone would use a ups store in the first place when its so much easier to pack and ship at home and create an internet label.
a) the driver should use those stalls since he is working a lot harder then you will with your one package.
b)The store owner is correct she has no authority of a ups driver and never will no matter how many CEO's you email.
c)You pay for one stop convience. the store has to make a profit or you will be driving a lot further to ship your one light weight envelope item.
Have you considered counseling?
It should be email@example.com i believe you can look it up on thier website. Also as a former upser the issue is the attitude and union mentality of thier drivers who don't care. Since the company when public this changed everything. You should use fedex a much better customer serviced oriented company.
I read somewhere - an upload from Scribd about UPS & Fedex's Insurance Policies. Apparently these corporations are under no US government obligatory regulations - so they do as they please ... If I ever win the lottery I'm creating a package delivery service that cares ;)
Sounds like someone sees the writing on the wall. You did see that the appeals court called BS on the lower court, right?
UPS is running out of excuses and time. Good luck to the brave men and women who stood up to a multi-billion dollar bully, and are about to be made whole. Oh that LA jury is going to love this one!
What point would there be in "fiddling with the numbers" of a situation in which an individual was so utterly lacking in business sense that he would pay $12k/MONTH (!!!) for a 500 sq. ft. retail space in order to put a pak 'n' ship store into it to begin with?
Maybe I'm out of line here, but it seems to me that whoever made such a lease agreement has a lot bigger issues facing him than just worrying about drop-off fees.
