    A UPS Family....

i have a garage door company and did a service call for a young lady the other day. i had been there before and she mentioned that her husband worked for UPS and was in the hospital at the time. i did the 65 dollar service call, filled out the invoice and she gave me a check. i asked her about her husband and she said that he had passed away. We talked a little more and she mentioned she hadn't been able to make some of the house payments, but the bank was happy to have someone in the house during the downturn. Now that housing has picked up a little around here, they had a change of heart and started the process of getting her out of there. She recently started an internship in the insurance business but money was slow coming in and her husbands insurance was not enough for her and her three Children. The little voice in my head told me to tear up the check and give it back. i received a card a few days later.

"Thank you for your years of service and thank you for your complimentary service today. Life throws curve balls and sometimes Life sends special gifts and that was you today". Sincerely, Dorothy B.

Times are tough and they're going to get a lot worse, so we all have to do more. Giving can almost be a selfish act because Special Blessings come tenfold for those that give....prayers or money or work....to those in need....
