    Q3 Earnings?

Record production and fairly decent ASP for metals should make for a decent earnings report. The one item that may get us into the black is the clean out at the Los Torres plant. I don't believe that Mr Market has factored in those inexpensive ounces. Also, we will see some cost reduction due to the work force reduction during Q1.

El Cubo becoming more Bolanitos like is the short term key and this is starting to happen. Management is doing a great job, as usual, delivering more than promised while keeping us informed. All we need is a little co-operation on the metal pricing side.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Can anyone explain why EXK seems to be trading at such a discount to its peers? It's production numbers are more than half of AG's, for instance, yet the market cap is less than third AG's market cap. EXPLAIN AWAY, please, I'm puzzled and going broke.

      • Because of the build out of the El Cubo plant and the high costs of that...there has been a carry over effect. People think EXKs production costs are higher than they are.
Much like a company that has a write down and for the next year the EPS numbers are skewed.
I also agree with those saying the price of silver/gold is a factor.
But that is also related to production costs...Is EXK profitable at XX$ of silver?
We know that the price of silver is off it's lows and that EXK is producing at less cost every day.
        Time is on our side.

      • EXK's production numbers have recently went up drastically. Possibly the market has not taken this into acount yet- as all miners are shunned and beaten down because of the price of metals. When metal prices get to a level that miners show good profits, maybe thenm EXK will have its day. For now consider this a buying opportunity!

      • Dan- Don't over think this one. In my opinion it's purely the low price of metals that have beaten down the miners. Hang on. I am. Everything will be good one day. We just need metals prices to go up and EXK will follow.

    • What does everyone think? Profitable this quarter? I am saying yes but metals price will limit profits. Hopefully I am wrong and they do much better than I expect.

      • Wi- Hopefully you're you are right because they are expected to lose money. I don't think that they will be in the red because the $22.60 silver and $1406 gold ASP's for the quarter should enable some profit to be shown. In the meantime, buy while there is blood in the streets. Takes a lot of balls and a little bit of patience but the payoff could and should be substantial. Others have correctly pointed out that costs will be coming down as El Cubo produces at increasingly lower costs. $1400 gold and $22 silver are more than enough to show profits for EXK as we shall see in the not to distant future. When others are convinced and the entire space is allowed out of the dog house, we will be rewarded.

        Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Do you think price will go any lower than $3.78?

      • I have taken a sizeable positions at that price, so I rather not post while holding. There's not much more that I can think to say anyways. I don't post on biotech boards, but I do well trading that stuff. The problem that I have with biotech issues, is that they are pre-loaded by groups before writing a S.A. article, which is called a pump and dump. That's one form of manipulation that's not an issue here, it's banks, mutual and hedge funds that control price. Been up for 32 hours with just a short nap. Good luck - LOL to all.
