I wasn't nearly as fired yesterday afternoon about the agreement as I am now (thanks to the comments on this board-at least we are back to intellectual banter). But I have to say this....shouldn't every CEO be paid based on PERFORMANCE ?????? Isn't that the job description, particularly in one such as Augme ???
I agree with that. Placing incentive to sale the company is retarded IMO. Incentive should be placed on how well the company performs and those targets should be increased every year based on the growth that "could" be achieved.
siriius, the exit strategy for this company is a sale. You build value in a number of ways that will be realized in a sale. Profitability is only one measure of value. To SH's, the only thing that matters is the magnitude of the stock price upon that sale, and for Hussey that will translate into maximizing the Market Cap. I totally disagree with you, and I think that our interests are quite well aligned.
Agreed. I also think the incentives should be just that....the amounts to start getting incentives should begin around $600M or so...there should not be an incentive to sell it at say $200M when we know the value is much higher based on other similar companies being sold in the past 12 - 18 months. Just my 2 cents....
