Perhaps. But also the media keeps hammering the same Ooold news :Potash Oversupply , Low Corn prices, India not subsidizing local Farmers due to its slide in their currency,... bla,bla ,bla Same old stuff. . Mos and Pot also were in red today for the very same reason .Lets keep in mind that Agu is somehow immunized by its huge retail business. So,this is an opportunity. Imaho.
What amazes me regarding the volume of uninformed commentary regarding AGU and the current turmoil in the potash market that is adversely affecting MOS and POT is that the wholesale activity of AGU, consisting of its production of potash, phosphate and nitrogen nutrients, represents only 25% of its business and even looking at the wholesale activity in more detail, it is the nitrogen function which dominates. I don't know why, therefore, AGU gets lumped in with its other Canpotex members when there is bad news on the potash front. For AGU, bad news consists of lower fertilizer sales volumes. If the would be reporters would focus on this aspect, perhaps the rest of us might glean some useful information.
I thought the late 2013 action was tax loss selling and window dressing from Jana et al, but maybe it's happening now. Improving EPS and a good div, but it sure has an ugly chart. Any upside or time to dump?
you never jump in a cyclical when conditions are great but on the contrary when they sucks. Agu is doing the right things, Increased dividend, reduced share count, increased its retail business. All of these should pay off at one point.
