I don't like CIM because the options stink. I also don't like the non-granularity of RMBS or multi-family. They also hit the market with a secondary, but we should all know they have a bad cousin, NLY. If you can tame CIM without a loss tell me how.
For the last three quarters that i have traded this stock, you will get your prices right after ex date.I've been averaging 3 points or better when i sell two or three days before ex date. AGNC pays 5.60 and i've made 6.50 in two quarters buying on the dip and selling ex date.I hope to make another 3 point again closer to ex date.
If there is trade down, it will be the employment report this week. That is the opportunity you are looking for. Each period of time is different. For example, you could have had AGNC for a bargain on the market flash day in May. So, basically, AGNC remains a bit weak heading into the home stretch. By Sept., you will be able to throw a rock at it, and it won't go down very much. Last quarter, AGNC hit $28.97 the night before ex-dividend where the history suggested that the high would be two days before. I think you have made a good point, but I think you have too look at the news flow too.
HEY BEN.We have had our flash point this quarter.I bought shares at 25.40-26.00 people will continue to sell into the rise of the stock price, but i give it a 27.30 resistance and we will be sideways foe two more weeks then off to the races .
