If you have AGNC in an IRA what happens to the dividends? Do they move into your sweep money market account? Or do the div's get reinvested in additional shares? If so,at what price?
I've found that most of time auto reinvest isn't the way to go.Better to follow the price and make the purchase on your own time.
More then likely it will go into whatever money market fund your account has as its default. However some brokers will allow for auto purchase of new shares. This is a better question for your broker.
Mine get posted to the IRA cash account (Fidelity).
Yeah...check with your broker. Normally dividends should appear as cash. You need to specify if you want auto-reinvestment (known as DRIP)If you chose auto-reinvestment be careful as the brokerages have been known to use their own logic to decide which date (and price) to purchase the additional shares on (and at).GL
