On Dec 1 they entered into a sales agreement to sell 26 mil shares. The shares are from the shelf registration so there is no notice when they are sold. Don't expect an SPO because you're probably having it now, unannounced.
Is this DRIP? The prior financials said that there was an authorized DRIP program but no DRIP shares had (ever?) been transacted. The filing for this box of shares said that the previous iteration of this had sold most of the shares allocated to it.
If Cantor and Mitsubishi are deliberately clamping the price at $29 to clip our div-run payback, I'm going to have to send Occupy Wall Street to use their bathrooms.
Good morning Ben,FAAQCEE(I don't get the shouting either) thanks you for your answer to the *question* he posed yesterday. Some people do not read punctuation marks well and take ANY things posted as fact. As Xxav mentioned yesterday, we all got a prospectus and should have read it. To my discredit, I did not. I'll have to use something else to level my bed ;)
...something doesn’t smell right, especially with the upgrade, affirmed divvy, resent Buy rating by Cramer, it just doesn’t make sense! Friggen Cramer is surely a genuine jinks! SELL SELL SELL!!!
I personally did not expect the entire ex-div run to take place in the first half-day of trading after the declaration, but perhaps I should set my expectations ridiculously higher, so that I can be VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED too!
Appears lower highs for all mREIT...that includes AGNC.
Maximum high range to ex-divvy 29.10-29.50 IMO.
SPO feeling is around the corner after ex-divvy.
Seeking Alpha has article indicating when interest rates do rise in late 2012 or 2013, AGNC payout will be lower (implied stock price will be lower). Not an issue now, but something to think about down the road.
All good things must come to an end!
I have reason to believe that Mr. Cantor Fitzgerald and his firm could be responsible for the poor performance today. http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/Stocks_%28A_to_Z%29/Stocks_A/threadview?m=tm&bn=79685&tid=51729&mid=51759&tof=1&rt=2&frt=2&off=1
I think you have something here. Is there a way to see if there is more shares "on the market" then there was last week at this time. I noticed that during the "pre-pre" runup, everytime there was a .20+ gain it would be followed by an equal decline. Either daytraders are temporarily taking over AGNC or there is something else more sneaky at play. I, being a conspiricy theorist to the nth, suspect the more nefarious possible reason as correct. Cantor has the shares and the liscense to dispense them, in a slowly dripped spo kind of way. Also, isn't it true that AGNC needs stockholder approval before its next spo? If the "slow drip" theory is correct, and AGNC needs further approval for another spo, this may be a quarter which AGNC does not have a "full blown" spo(other REITs have skipped 2qtrs, AGNC has skipped *NONE*). The shares could rise to over 31 to 32+, and if that is the case, making a spring spo even more lucrative and further increasing book value. I think I may hold some shares this time around. Can you say BATSATT(Buy At Thirty Sell At Thirty Three)? FOXY
